OPEN MIC CHALLENGE FALL EDITION

Conor O’Neill’s and The Fox Theatre have decided to do it again this fall.  So, beginning October 11th, Conor O’Neill’s will be the place to be every Tuesday night as we kick off the fall edition of “I’m Playing The Fox” Open Mic Challenge.  For the “Open Mic with Danny Shafer” each Tuesday for 8 consecutive weeks, three musicians will square off each night to win a slot in the finals to be held December 6th at Conor O’Neill’s.

On December 6th, the Open Mic will feature all 8 finalists.  Each musician will again perform 3 songs.  A panel of three-five qualified music people will judge the competition and first select the top three contestants.  The three contestants will perform one more song for the judges.  We’ll ask the audience to give us their opinion of who the winner is via audience response (clapping and cheering).  Then the judges will make the final decision based performance, song writing, technique (vocals and instrumentation) and originality.
